Review
A biblical, coherent and engaging summary of Reformed worship. Rhodes has provided the church with a wonderful foundation for understanding how God calls his people to worship according to his redemptive work and his revealed word --Brian Salter, Lead Pastor, Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, Lookout Mountain, Tennessee
Jonty Rhodes does a superb job of helping us understand and appreciate the purpose and the power of worshipping the one true and living God. He pulls us into this conversation by reminding us of the Biblical principle that who we worship, and how we worship shape us as individual disciples and as communities of believers in covenant fellowship with a God who makes and keeps that covenant for us. Mr. Rhodes writes with a humble, clear, concise grasp of scripture and the reformed faith. I found myself deeply appreciative of the theological depth and scriptural richness which he brings to this discussion of worship. At various times I was encouraged, convicted, instructed and refreshed in ways that have, and I hope will continue to increase my faith in and my appreciation of a God who meets us so powerfully and so practically in such ordinary and available means of grace. This book reminds us how amazing it is that such grace is available to us each and every time we assemble ourselves together for corporate worship. --Duane Cory, Founding Pastor, Deer Creek Church, Littleton, Colorado
Our hearts are often cold and closed to the supernatural wonder of corporate worship. But thanks to Jonty Rhodes' warm style and compelling argumentation, reading Reformed Worship will begin to melt your heart and draw you to the duty and delight that is meeting with God. This book will make you long for Sunday, even heaven. --Jonathan Landry Cruse, Pastor, Community Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo, Michigan
