The book, and the upcoming biopic based on its pages, tells you how the son of an alcoholic, violent father struggled against low self esteem and sexual abuse to become an agnostic determinedly set on disproving the historical case for the Christ and the Christian faith. Yet, despite his best efforts, Josh found the evidence overwhelmingly supported what he fought against and convicted him enrol at Bible college; graduating with a Master’s Degree in Divinity.

‘Undaunted’ is a story of faith and triumph set against the depression, poverty and depravation of the 1930s. Emotional and intellectual the book follows the pain of his journey to faith, and how that faith drove him to seek out people from his past who had abused and hurt him – not to revenge himself, but to forgive; just as God had forgiven him.
